The North Island Menopause Conference is returning to Campbell River this weekend, offering a full day of education, expert advice, and connection for women navigating the menopause transition.
The second annual event takes place Saturday, November 8th at the Campbell River Community Centre, building on the strong response to last year’s inaugural gathering.
The conference will feature leading voices in women’s midlife health, offering a mix of keynote talks, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to help women better understand and manage this stage of life.
Organizer and founder Kathy Grayson says the goal is to provide women with the tools and community they need to feel supported.
She calls it “an inspiring and engaging event” that ensures women have access to credible information and a space to connect with others who share similar experiences.
This year’s keynote speaker is Shirley Weir - author, podcast host, TEDx speaker, and founder of Menopause Chicks, one of North America’s most active online communities focused on evidence-based menopause information and support.
Other presenters include Campbell River physiotherapist Tanya Kessling, Dr. Elisabeth Crisci of Pacifica MD in Qualicum Beach, and registered dietitian Erin Roman, who will discuss the connection between nutrition and mental health.
Attendees will have the chance to tailor their experience by choosing sessions that match their interests, covering topics like hormone therapy, sleep, exercise, pelvic health, burnout, mental wellbeing, and more.
Tickets are $75 and available for both in-person attendance and online streaming of select presentations.
The full schedule, speaker lineup, and registration details can be found at North Island Menopause Conference.
