North Island Distance Education School (NIDES) is closed for in-person learning due to repairs required on the well pump at the Tsolum Campus.

The school closed for in-person programs/classes last night and will continue to be closed today.

It’s hoped the school will be back open for in-person classes tomorrow - an update should be coming sometime on Wednesday.

Online classes will take place as usual.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
