Noah Reclaims B.C.’S Most Popular Baby Name

Parents throughout British Columbia have chosen Noah as the year’s most beloved name for newborns.

The name Noah took first place this year, with 198 more choices of Noah than last year’s most popular name, Oliver. Noah took first place in 2022 and 2023.

According to B.C.’s Vital Statistics Agency, the top 10 baby names in British Columbia in 2025 were Noah, Oliver, Theodore, Liam, Olivia, Charlotte, Jack, Henry, Sophia and James.

In 2024, the most popular baby names were Oliver, Olivia, Liam, Noah, Theodore, Charlotte, Lucas, Isla, Amelia and Leo.

From January 1 until December 15, 2025, 41,557 babies were registered as born in B.C.
