When the project is complete, there will be a new left turn arrow for southbound traffic on Alder Street.
Construction began Monday with the first round of construction lasting about three weeks. Construction work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Minor traffic delays are expected during the majority of this work.
As part of this project, there will also be a full road closure on Hilchey Road, between South Alder Street and Palmer Road, from Wednesday, February 26 to Friday, February 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
