The City of Campbell River will be replacing the aging traffic lights at South Alder Street and Hilchey Road with all new components.
When the project is complete, there will be a new left turn arrow for southbound traffic on Alder Street.
Construction began Monday with the first round of construction lasting about three weeks. Construction work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Minor traffic delays are expected during the majority of this work.
As part of this project, there will also be a full road closure on Hilchey Road, between South Alder Street and Palmer Road, from Wednesday, February 26 to Friday, February 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
