A new roundabout at the intersection of Highway 4 and Beaver Creek Road i n Port Alberni is now open to traffic.

The roundabout is the main feature of the Highway 4 and Beaver Creek Road Intersection Improvements project.

It is designed to improve traffic flow along Highway 4 while enhancing connections to Beaver Creek Road.

Travellers are encouraged to use extra caution as people become familiar with the new traffic pattern.

Some landscaping, minor drainage and electrical work in and around the roundabout is still required to complete the project. The work will not affect day-to-day traffic.

Travellers are advised to obey posted speed limits and watch for workers until work is complete later this month.
