The Campbell River Board of Education has elected its leadership team for the coming year.
Trustee Craig Gillis will serve as chairperson, and Joyce McMann will take on the role of vice-chairperson for the 2025-2026 term.
Both were acclaimed during the board’s annual election.
In his remarks, Chair Gillis thanked trustees for their support and acknowledged outgoing chair Kat Eddy for her three years of leadership.
During her time as chair, the board adopted a new strategic plan, updated its mission and values, and continued advocacy for a new Cedar Elementary School.
Eddy will continue to serve as a trustee, stepping back from the additional duties of chair for personal reasons.
