BC Ferries is still taking proposals to construct a new ferry terminal building in Campbell River.
“The building’s design will ensure that a second vehicle ticketing booth can be added in the future if needed”, said B.C. Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall Thursday.
“During construction, the ticketing process will be modified. A toll booth will be located at the terminal’s entrance and a ticket agent will handle payments using a mobile point-of-service device.”
The request for proposals went out last week and there’s another week before submissions need to be in.
Once contractors are selected, work would begin toward the end of October and last about a year.
