New fencing has been put up around the Elks and Royal Purple Park in Comox.
The park is closed for the replacement of the playground structure.
Safety fencing is going up today. Updates on playground installation dates will be provided on the town's website - www.comox.ca
It's expected to be the end of September before work is complete.
During the closure period, there will be periods of time where operational equipment will be in the area.
Beach access and the parking lot areas will remain mostly unaffected.
