The Comox Community Centre will implement new fees and charges on September 2, marking the first increase since September 2019.
The adjustments will affect all drop-in fees, fitness and racquet memberships, racquet court fees, and facility booking rates.
The Town says the rates have remained unchanged for six years, and with inflation and operational requirements increasing over time, adjustments are necessary.
On average, rates will increase by approximately five percent.
Customers can lock in the current rates by purchasing or extending memberships, punch passes and facility booking before September 2.
This includes savings on facility rentals confirmed before the rate change.
Additionally, the Town participates in both the TRIP (Town [of Comox] Resident Inclusion Program) and the LEAP (Leisure for Everyone Accessibility Program) initiatives, which provide free and low-cost programs to help remove the financial barriers to participation.
For further information on the new rates or to make a booking, visit the Comox Community Centre or find the new fee structure in the Recreation Guide.
