After taking some time to think things over, Municipal Affairs Minister Nathan Cullen has confirmed he will not be seeking the leadership of the NDP.
On Twitter, Cullen said with his kids still young, he wants to focus his time on his family, and on his constituents in Stikine.
Cullen says he was approached by several people to throw his hat in the ring and owed it to them to give the idea serious thought.
Attorney General David Eby is the perceived front runner to replace Premier John Horgan at the helm - however, he hasn't said he's running yet. Horgan announced he was stepping down last month, saying that after a bout with cancer, he wants to spend more time with his wife.
