Comox Community Centre staff are gearing up to celebrate Move for Health Day on Saturday, with free "try-it" classes at the Centre and Village Park (the field next to the Centre).
Move for Health Day is an international event created in 2002 by the World Health Organization to promote physical activity.
In a release, the Comox Rec Department notes that physical activity and exercise can look different for everyone, and there are many ways to move.
No matter what it looks like for you, the release reads, physical activity can help improve mental health, prevent chronic disease, and boost energy levels.
You can find more info and a schedule of free “try it” classes happening Saturday, visit Town of Comox.
