Mount Washington Alpine Resort closed yesterday as unseasonably warm weather persisted on the mountain.
The resort will remain closed today to allow the slopes and trails to drain.
The weather also damaged areas of the road with travel to the mountains being affected with single-lane traffic, alternating in certain areas.
The tentative goal is to re-open Friday.
Further north, the Island’s other ski destination, Mount Cain Alpine Park, is also closed.
On B.C.’s mainland, Grouse Mountain Resort also shut down Wednesday “due to inclement weather.”
