Cumberland residents are getting into the Christmas spirit tonight as the annual Villagers Tree Light Up goes in Village Square.
It’s taking place from 6pm to 7pm.
Guests can enjoy hot drinks from Cumberland Community Schools Society, a performance by the Valley Edge Choir, singalongs, and the tree light up.
An early taste of the holidays is happening at the Lewis Centre in Courtenay tomorrow with the annual Children’s Christmas Party from 11am to 1pm.
The party will feature a festive sing-along and ukulele performance by the Evergreen Seniors, hands-on crafts, games and a chance for kids to write letters to Santa.
At the Florence Filberg Centre on Saturday, the Gnarly Little Christmas Craft Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the upstairs Conference Room.
The fair showcases the creativity of youth aged 9 to 19, with over 60 vendors offering handmade goods including baking, artwork, crafts, fibre creations, jewellery, woodwork, and more.
Admission to both events is free with a donation of non-perishable food items for the local food bank.
Brooklyn Elementary School hosts their annual Winter Market tomorrow in Comox, while the Comox Valley Christmas Parade takes place on Sunday afternoon.
