An update has now been provided from Comox Valley RCMP on a missing man and his boat.
On Friday morning, Police and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Victoria (JRCC) launched a search after receiving a report of an unmanned rowboat drifting near Royston.
Later in the morning, police received a report that a 37-year-old man was missing after taking a rowboat from his property into the ocean.
A second report led to an even more "exhaustive search" for the man and rowboat, according to the Comox Valley RCMP, which included military search and rescue teams and the Canadian Coast Guard, which were dispatched by the JRCC.
On Monday, RCMP said the man and his boat had been found.
"This man and his boat have been located. No further information will be released," said a statement released by Constable Monika Terragni, media relations officer for Comox Valley RCMP.
"Thank you to the media and the public for their assistance."
