The annual Western Toad migration has now reached the boundaries of the Cumberland Community Forest Park.

The Village is working with the United Riders of Cumberland and the Cumberland Community Forest Society to provide updates on migration routes, educate the public, and move signage around to the affected areas in the park.

Trail closures, barriers, and temporary bridges are being used to provide the tiny toadlets time to complete their migration with as little disturbance as possible.

The Village is asking people to  plan their biking and hiking routes accordingly and respect all signage in the area.

There is also a closure of the Perseverance Creek Potholes, which remains in effect during the toad migration.
