The Comox Valley Regional District has announced that the Merville Fire Protection Local Service Area has received new accreditation for the delivery of a ‘’superior tanker truck shuttle service’’ for Merville Fire Station.
“This new accreditation and tanker shuttle service will provide increased lifesaving and structural protection,” explains Electoral Area C Director Edwin Grieve.
“Residents within the Merville Fire Protection Service are encouraged to contact their home insurance provider for potential house insurance savings.”
It basically means - they can get the job done.
The accreditation, through the Fire Underwriters Surveyor of British Columbia, shows that Merville Fire Station is ‘’capable of delivering the minimum accepted fire flows to detached dwellings throughout the fire protection district within eight kilometres by road of the responding fire station and five kilometres by road of a recognized water supply point.’’
