Merecroft Road Road Closure This Weekend For Mini World Cup

The Campbell River Youth Soccer Association is hosting hundreds of athletes this weekend for the Mini World Cup.

The association said in a Facebook post it was ready for 104 registered teams for the tournament.

There will be a full road closure on Merecroft Road as a result, between South Birch Street and the Campbell River Youth Soccer Clubhouse at 450 Merecroft Road.

The closure will be in place both Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Community members are asked to follow all traffic controls in place, and cheer on the future soccer stars.
