There’s one day left to take part in a fundraiser for the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society as it continues to care for hundreds of native wildlife patients, with the aim of releasing them back to the wild.
MARS looks to conserve and protect native wildlife and its natural habitat through education and rehabilitation.
Each year the wildlife hospital cares for more than 1000 native wildlife patients.
Its main focus is Avian, but they receive a number of other animals to the Rescue Centre in Merville, including racoons and beavers, tree frogs and garter snakes, black-tail deer and bats.
Prizes include round-trip tickets anywhere Westjet flies, 2 nights Storm Watching at the Cox Bay Beach Resort in Tofino & more.
As of this writing, the fundraiser has raised $12,310.
Tickets $10 each, 4 for $20, 20 for $50, or 100 tickets for $100. For tickets or more information, visit Mars Wildlife Rescue.
