Construction continues to roll along at Strathcona Gardens with the REC-REATE Aquatic and Wellness Project.

The Strathcona Regional District’s latest update says all exterior foundations, columns, and walls have been poured.

Also, construction of the lap pool has begun, with formwork and concrete placement for footings and walls well underway.

Additionally, mechanical and electrical rough-ins and backfilling are in progress.

The New Aquatic and Wellness Centre, scheduled to be completed by 2027, includes a new 8-lane 25 m pool, accessible therapy pool, hot pool, and leisure pool with a lazy river, climbing wall, and waterslide.

A new fitness and wellness centre with sauna and steam rooms will also be available along with renovated change rooms and administrative areas.
