Annual maintenance and inspection of downtown Campbell River sewer mains is underway today.
Work is being done for the next month, Mondays through Saturdays from 7am to 7pm - downtown and in Campbellton.
Crews will be trying to ensure that disruption to traffic is minimal, but delays are expected.
Repairs on Comox Road will be completed this morning, as part of remediation in the area following archeological investigation drilling completed late last year.
Disruption is expected to be brief and has been scheduled to be completed outside of peak commute time.
There are three areas that will be addressed: Comox Road (between Courtenay Pump Station and Dyke Road Park), Comox Road at Comox Hill, and a small area on Beaufort Ave.
Drivers should be prepared for single lane alternating traffic.
