The Town of Comox is seeking input from residents on a new concept plan for Lancaster park at an event on Wednesday.
The neighbourhood park on Lancaster Way has been identified as a priority for future improvements under the Town's Parks and Trails Master Plan.
The project looks to help meet the needs of a growing community by enhancing recreational opportunities, improving accessibility, and creating spaces that better serve families, children, and youth.
The concept plan will look at a range of possible upgrades, including expanded play areas for different age groups, improved accessibility features, additional shade and seating, gathering spaces, potential cooling or water features, improved pathways, and support amenities such as washrooms.
Wednesday’s event is taking place near the park's willow tunnel from 330pm to 530pm.
More information about the project is available at Engage Comox Valley.
