The Strathcona Regional District says construction of the Just Like Home Lodge & Health Professionals Housing project has reached an exciting milestone.

Last week, a major concrete pour completed the building’s slab-on-grade foundation. With the foundation now in place, the structure will soon begin to rise above ground.

This project is a partnership between the Strathcona Regional District, Campbell River Hospital Foundation, and Seymour Pacific Homes.

Located next to Campbell River Hospital, the development will provide welcoming accommodation for patients, families, caregivers, and visiting health professionals.

Once complete, the building will provide an important resource for the region, supporting people travelling for medical care while also helping attract and retain health care professionals.

Construction remains on track for completion this summer, with plans to welcome guests in the fall.
