Island Health has issued a Drug Poisoning/Overdose Advisory for the Comox Valley area.
The advisory says overdoses are increasing and people using opioids and stimulants in the region - both inhaled and injected - face increased risk.

If you suspect someone of overdosing, call 911 immediately and, if available to you, administer Naloxone.
The advisory, issued yesterday, will be in place until next Wednesday.
