Increase In Property Theft From Vehicles Throughout Village Of Cumberland

Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 7:03 AM

By Jay Herrington

Cumberland residents are being warned of an increase in property theft from vehicles throughout the village.

Residents are reminded to lock vehicle doors and secure valuable items and requested to immediately report all incidents of theft to the RCMP. Reporting circumstances of lost or stolen property allows police to prioritize and address such issues, which improves the safety of our community.

Comox Valley RCMP has launched an online crime reporting website that allows people to report crimes involving lost or stolen property. To report a crime through the online tool, residents need to provide an address, phone number, and valid email address. The process typically takes less than 15 minutes to complete.

Crime reports can also be submitted via the Comox Valley detachment non-emergency phone at 250-338-1321
