The Immigrant Welcome Centre is hosting a unique look today into the life of someone new to the region.
It is holding a community forum in Campbell River today where participants will be given a name tag with someone else’s name.
The pseudonym will be accompanied by a card that shares a piece of an immigrant’s story about settling on the North Island.
That card will be the start of a journey to find and access the various community services needed to help you settle in a new hometown.
Today’s forum is happening at the Robron Centre from 2pm to 4pm.
There will be another event in Courtenay on November 18th at the Native Sons Hall.
