The Strathcona Regional District says access will soon be restricted at Hoskyn Channel Landing as it gets set to install a new float and ramp, offering more moorage space and a safer facility for users.
Work is expected to begin next Tuesday, May 27th and will take 3 days to complete, pending good weather.
All vessels need to be removed from the dock before work begins.
Use of the dock and access to/from the shore will be restricted throughout the removal and installation process, but it may be possible to use the site for beach landings.
The SRD suggests using Heriot Bay and Granite Bay as alternate access options during construction.
Community members are asked to respect all signage, barriers, and crew directions during construction.
