It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at CFB Comox.
The holiday light display at the Comox Air Force Museum’s Heritage Air Park switches on this Saturday evening at 5pm, kicking off a full month of festive programming.
Members of 19 Wing Comox have spent the past several weeks decorating aircraft with thousands of lights - turning everything from heritage fighter jets to transport aircraft into illuminated seasonal displays.
It’s become a well-loved holiday tradition for families across the region.
The air park will be open every evening starting Saturday and running through December 30th, from 5 to 8 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Admission is by donation - either non-perishable food for the Comox Valley Food Bank, or a cash contribution to support the museum.
Volunteers will be on site each night to help guide visitors and answer questions about the aircraft and their history.
