The Comox Valley RCMP is hosting its first ever Haunted Cell Block tonight - turning its holding cells into a “house of horror.”
The cells on Ryan Road in Courtenay are being turned into a spooky maze where visitors will help “watch the prisoners”… as things start to get strange.
The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and it’s first come, first served.
Admission is by donation to Comox Valley Search and Rescue or non-perishable food for the Salvation Army.
Parking is limited at the detachment, so visitors are asked to park across the street at Comox Valley Dodge or the Real Canadian Superstore and walk over.
The event includes flashing lights, loud sounds, and tight spaces, so it’s not recommended for everyone, especially young children or those with certain medical conditions.
In Campbell River on Halloween night - a fireworks show at the Sportsplex. Things get underway at 8pm Friday.
You can find a few more details on the city’s Facebook page.
