Construction begins this month on a new overflow parking lot for Hanks Beach.
The Strathcona Regional District says work will take one or two weeks with the trail head adjacent to the new overflow parking lot being closed during construction hours, 8am to 5pm, Mondays thru Fridays.
The lot is being constructed in an old borrow pit on Bartholomew Rd, about 200m west of the existing parking lot.
The existing parking lot and other trails will remain open throughout the construction period.
