Habitat for Humanity is nearing the end of its Meaning of Home Contest.
Students in grades 4, 5 & 6 across Canada have been invited to share a short essay or poem about what ‘home’ means to them.
Each entry provides a $10 donation from sponsors to local Habitats across the country, including Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North.
In the end, 3 winners & 9 runners-up will be chosen & awarded $30,000 & $10,000 respectively for their local Habitat.
As of Friday morning, British Columbia ranked 5th in Canada with 726, including a number from Vancouver Island.
The deadline to enter is Friday, February 24.
