After a two-year break because of the pandemic, Greenways Land Trust will present their 21st annual Broom Bash Saturday, along the Myrt Thompson Trail in Campbell River.
Lydia Tratemann, with Greenways, says the effect that Scotch broom can have on the estuary is devastating.
The public’s invited to help remove the invasive shrub from the sensitive habitat along the river & create more space for the native vegetation to thrive.
It’s an event for all ages, participants are advised to dress for the weather, park at the end along Maple Street and walk into the kiosk to get started at 10am.
