The Grand Parade, an annual fundraiser across Canada, took place last Saturday in and around Marina Park in Comox. Marilyn Morris, a board member with Glacier View Lodge, says the event was very successful, raising more than $54,000 for the needs of seniors.
Proceeds will provide a music therapy program for the residents within Glacier View Lodge, many of whom are experiencing forms of dementia, as music’s beneficial for physical activity, social interaction & specifically helpful to Alzheimer victims.
Morris and everyone at Glacier View Lodge send out heartfelt appreciation to the community, for taking part & for brining awareness to the needs of seniors in our community.
