Campbell River is set to celebrate a brand-new outdoor destination this weekend.

The City is inviting everyone to the grand opening of River Village Park, the Campbellton Loop and a family adventure called Quinny’s Quest.

The celebration kicks off Saturday, September 27th at 10 a.m. at River Village Park, located at 19th Avenue and Spruce Street by the river.

Festivities include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a look at the new natural playground and gathering space, plus a ride on the brand-new zipline.

Visitors are encouraged to walk or cycle the 7.2-kilometre Campbellton Loop, which features seven themed stops, golden apples and treats along the way.

Kids can also follow clues to solve Quinny’s Quest.

The event is free and open to all ages.
