Dignitaries will be on hand today for a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new Marine Services Building at the Comox Marina.
The new building helps with the lack of retail and community services at the marina by providing three retail spaces, public barrier-free washrooms, and a visitor information kiosk.
The increased capacity is meant to support tourism-related businesses, create jobs, and provide long-term economic growth for the region.
The event is open to the public. It starts at 1pm.
Parking is available on both the west and east side parking lots of Comox Marina Park (located at 504 Wilcox Street and 127 Port Augusta Street).
