A GoFundMe campaign is nearing its goal as family and friends continue the search for 33-year-old Ashley Bosma, who went missing near Comox Lake last month.
As of this writing, the fundraiser, launched a few days ago, has raised $4,531 of its $5,000 goal.
The money will help with ongoing search efforts and fund a reward in hopes of bringing forward new information about Ashley’s disappearance.
Ashley was last heard from on October 14 after speaking with her mother earlier that day. She had been camping in a rural area near Comox Lake and was reported missing two days later when her mother couldn’t reach her as usual.
RCMP have since declared her a missing person, and while every tip received has been investigated, there have been no new leads in nearly a month.
The family says the funds are also helping cover travel and accommodation costs as they continue their search efforts away from home.
