The Courtenay Canada Day Organizing Team has unveiled what’s happening this year.

They’ve announced that acclaimed singer/songwriter Fred Penner is back headlining for a second year.

The four-time Juno award winner will grace the stage at 2:00 p.m. on Canada Day in Lewis Park.

The Night Before Concert in Lewis Park on June 30 starts at 5:30 p.m. and includes headliner Yukon Blonde at 9:00 p.m.

On Canada Day performances start at 9:00 a.m. and continue until around 3:00 p.m. at Lewis Park and Downtown Courtenay.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.
