There was another earthquake off Vancouver Island Friday morning, following at least four on Thursday.
Earthquakes Canada says a 4.6 magnitude quake struck at 1:20am this morning, 193 kms southwest of Port Alice.
Four quakes struck near the same area yesterday morning with magnitudes of 6.4, 4.3, 4.9, and 4.8.
The first quake yesterday shortly after 8am, at 6.4, was the only one “slightly felt” on the Island and Earthquakes Canada says there was no threat of tsunami.
Earthquakes Canada says on its website they are currently experiencing a swarm of activity offshore Vancouver Island, at the intersection of the Juan de Fuca Ridge, the Sovanco Fracture Zone, and the Nootka Fault.
