A local country musician is being recognized for his recent work.
Doug Folkins, based in the Comox Valley, has been nominated for 2 awards at the upcoming BC CMA Awards in Vancouver. He’s up for Album of the year for the EP ‘Trouble Is’ and the Gaylord Wood Traditional Roots Country Award.
Folkins, who’s been active for decades, has had many of his songs recorded by artists in the US & Canada, and featured on film and television, including on NBC’s “The Voice”.
The British Columbia Country Music Association Awards will be held on June 12th at the Vogue Theater in Vancouver.
