Flair Airlines is now flying out of the Comox Valley Airport. The Edmonton-based airline is celebrating their inaugural flights to Edmonton and Calgary with a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.
Flair will host three weekly non-stop flights to both major centres in Alberta.
The airline not only strives to achieve the lowest cost per seat mile of any Canadian airline, it also uses a fuel-efficient fleet of new aircraft, to achieve fuel savings and reduced C02 emissions, a vital step in lowering Flair’s carbon footprint.
Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent Ultra Low-Cost Carrier and was previously only flying to Victoria on Vancouver Island.
The ceremony will be held at the airport from 9:30-11:30am.
