The flags at Comox Town Hall have been lowered to half-mast to honour the passing of Wayne Meyer,an Equipment Operator in the Public Works department, who passed away last week.
In a release, the Town says Meyer dedicated over 12 years of his career to Comox, saying he had a way of making you feel at ease and very welcomed from the first time you met him.
The Town called it a devastating loss for his family and for the many friends and colleagues who know him well.
A Go Fund Me page had been set up for his family earlier this summer after Wayne became ill suddenly.
