It’s back to school today for students in School District 72.
That means a little - or a lot - of extra traffic on the roads in Campbell River and the Comox Valley.
The City of Campbell River is asking motorists and cyclists to be watchful, follow speed limits, and avoid distractions.
The speed limit in school zones is 30 km/h from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every school day, unless otherwise posted.
It’s suggested, for this week anyway, that parents or caregivers walk young children to school to ensure they follow a safe route and accompany children who are taking new routes or attending new schools.
For more information on back to school, visit School District 72.
Comox Valley Schools are back up and running tomorrow.
