Firefighters Remind Residents That Campfire Ban Lift Doesn't Include Campbell River

While some areas of B.C. have lifted campfire bans, people are urged to check whether fires are allowed in their specific areas.

The Coastal Fire Centre lifted the North Island - Central Coast Forest District campfire ban this week.

The Coastal Fire Centre lifted the North Island - Central Coast Forest District campfire ban this week.

However, the City of Campbell River Fire Department is reminding residents that this change applies to the north end of Vancouver Island and does not include Campbell River.

A fire ban is still in effect for the City of Campbell River and surrounding areas until further notice.
