Riders in this year’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock are entering their final week of cycling Vancouver Island.
The 14-day trek covers 12 hundred kilometres and made stops in the Comox Valley and Campbell River last week.
Locals include Courtenay deputy sheriff Graham Fuller, BC Highway Patrol officer Colleen Holbrook, and Courtenay firefighter Naseem Habibi.
The event raises money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society, like Camp Goodtimes.
The goal this year is a million dollars, and they were nearing the $400 thousand mark at last check.
The group was in Tofino yesterday and made the ride to Nanaimo, where they leave this morning.
They’ll wrap in Victoria on Friday, October 3, 2025..
