The Comox Valley Regional District is in the final stage of the Regional Parks and Trails Strategic Plan process.
The plan will guide how the CVRD plans for, manages, and invests in developing the new Regional Parks and Trails system over the next 20+ years.
The CVRD received input from K’ómoks First Nation, interest groups, partners, and the broader community through Phase One and Phase Two that helped shape the directions of the Strategic Plan.
Now through October 15th, it is being shared broadly with all interested participants to review and identify comments for consideration in finalizing the Strategic Plan later this fall.
Community members are encouraged to submit comments via the online form.
Cumberland Mayor Vicky Brown, also the Chair of the Regional Parks and Trails Committee, says it has been exciting working through the development of the service with all of those involved over the last year.
“We look forward to finalizing the plan this fall and implementing this strategic plan to benefit conservation and recreation opportunities in our region for years to come,” she said.
