A funeral for a Burnaby RCMP officer killed in the line of duty will be held Wednesday in Richmond.
Constable Shaelyn Yang’s home detachment of Burnaby and the RCMP say they are thanking the public and first responders for their outpouring of support.
While public seating will not be available inside the funeral venue at the Richmond Olympic Oval, you can livestream the event on the RCMPs YouTube channel, and you expect local broadcasters to air all or portions of the funeral, which starts around 11 a.m.
Mounties are encouraging you to wear red tomorrow, to express your support and to honour Constable Yang.
They're also encouraging you to share photos of yourself in red on social media, and use the hashtag #WearRedWednesday.
