The province has rolled out its fall booster campaign to continue the fight against COVID 19.

This new vaccine, which targets the Omicron strain, is available to all adults over the age of 18 and youth from 12 to 17 years who are at high risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19.

This vaccine offers enhanced protection against COVID-19 by targeting the original virus strain and is effective against Omicron subvariants, which continue to be the most common subvariants in B.C.

Fall booster invitations continue to go out.

The program began offering appointments first for people most at risk from COVID-19; Seniors, Indigenous people, people who are clinically extremely vulnerable, and healthcare workers.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
