Commuters can expect traffic disruptions on Comox Road for the rest of the week as archaeological investigation work related to the Sewer Conveyance Project is being completed.

Work will be underway for the rest of the week and requires single lane alternating traffic during daylight hours.

When leaving Comox, you’re being asked to avoid Comox Road and take Ryan Road into Courtenay.

Those going to Comox are advised to use the 5th Street bridge or turn left at 17th Street bridge and take Ryan Road.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
