Events For The Family This Easter Weekend

There’s plenty to do with the family in the area this Easter Weekend.

The Downtown Campbell River BIA is hosting an Downtown Easter event Saturday at Ostler Park starting at 11am.

Lots of games - bouncy castles, food, face painting, clowns - and of course, the Easter Bunny.

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance at Filberg Park on Saturday, with an Easter event from 10am to 2pm. All proceeds from Easter at Filberg Park 2023 will support the care and maintenance of the Filberg Lodge and Park.

The Courtenay Easter Promenade goes on Good Friday from 11am to 2pm at the Lewis Centre. The event is intended for children aged one to six years old.

Free activities are open to everyone with no pre-registration required - but if you want in on the Easter Egg Hunt, you DO need to register ahead of time. Call or drop by the Lewis Centre or the Florence Filberg Centre.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
