Campbell River Search and Rescue volunteers and RCMP will be conducting a training exercise later today in the South McPhedran Road and South Dogwood Street area.
They’ll be out between 7pm and 830pm - the exercise itself should wrap around 815pm.
It’s being led by the Strathcona Regional District in partnership with the City of Campbell River.
During the drill, search and rescue volunteers and police will distribute mock wildfire evacuation orders to simulate how notifications could be delivered during an actual emergency.
