Comox Valley RCMP received a complaint of erratic driving Monday morning with one vehicle chasing another on Highway 19 near Black Creek.
A major police response ensued after a caller told police that this may be the result of an armed robbery.
Comox Valley and Campbell River RCMP along with the BC Highway Patrol found a suspect vehicle near Cranberry Road.
Four suspects were located and arrested with the assistance of the Island District Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and Air 8.
A 25-km stretch of highway was closed for about an hour late Monday afternoon.
The Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
